Abstract
One of the major causes of postoperative hypersensitivity following direct composite resin restoration is microleakage. Adequate adhesive technique, incremental filling, lining of elastic material, and regulation of light curing speed would be helpful for reducing microleakage via polymerization shrinkage. In proximal box restoration, pre-wedging, sectional matrix system, and proper resin applicator are recommended to form adequate proximal contact and contour.
